PROJECT COORDINATION (IT Facilities)
Location: Sacramento CA
Duration: 6 months+
Rate: $26 per hour (w2)
 
OBJECTIVE:        
The IT Facilities project team is responsible for the project management of facilities projects and complex administrative analysis related to IT Facilities Technology team functions. This position will be responsible for analyzing/coordinating IT Facilities and Seismic Compliance projects. This position will exercise initiative, originality and judgment in analyzing project requirements and applying established principles including applicable practices for project implementation. This position will create and re-distribute reference documentation followed by analysis of documentation returned to establish budgets and project schedules.       
 
This position will be responsible for assisting in the project management of IT Facilities projects.  The IT Facilities project team is responsible for the project management of facilities projects, capital construction, and seismic compliance projects, which requires administrative analysis related to the IT Facilities Technology team functions. This position must have basic knowledge and experience with project management methodologies to analyze, plan, organize and assist with directing a multidisciplinary team in order to meet the differing project objectives and deliverables. With minimal supervision, this position will exercise initiative, originality and judgment in analyzing and applying established principles and practices to resolve unique issues prevalent with today’s technology laden implementations.  
 
EXPECTED SKILLS
Working knowledge of project management tools. (e.g. Microsoft Project)
Must have extensive knowledge and experience with Excel (specifically formulas), Word, and PowerPoint.
Experience with AutoCAD and MS Visio.
Writing skills needed to translate system processes and associated manual processes in clear, user understandable instructions and explanations of the tools and methodologies.
Must be able to multi-task and manage multiple projects simultaneously to move forward towards meeting key milestones critical for each project go live.  Ability to work independently, set priorities, organize work and meet deadlines. 
Demonstrates good verbal and written communication skills; documents and reports clearly and concisely. Conveys instructions, directions, and information appropriately. Demonstrates an ability to express self in all areas of communication (written, verbal, and non-verbal); utilizes effective listening and questioning techniques.
Ability to establish and maintain effective interpersonal communications and relationships to permit effective liaison with all Health System personnel.
