Professional Development and Training Specialist
Location: Montgomery, AL
A growing Poultry company in the Southeast is seeking a Professional Development and Training Specialist for their facilities near Montgomery, Alabama. The position will be responsible for the training and development program for employees to further professional growth and to foster an environment conducive to cultural understanding, job satisfaction, and increased efficiency.
The ideal candidate will be able to Identify current workforce training needs and plan for future needs. Assess skills needed for line lead and supervisory development. You will need to work closely with H.R. and management to coordinate and serve as the facilitator to various training workshops for the Supervisory staff and workforce. Responsibilities: EEO/Harassment Prevention: Ensure materials are current and prepared for annual EEO/ Harassment Prevention Training in accordance with company goals and guidelines. (English and Spanish) Facilitate training at designated locations, in consideration to Operations work schedules Line Lead Training: Develop soft skills training for all designated line leads. Ensure that training occurs for each newly-assigned line lead. Facilitate periodic and refresher training for line lead group. Supervisor/Manager Training: Develop leadership skills training for supervisors and managers with emphasis on coaching and counseling and creating a positive work environment for our employees. New Hire Orientation: Provide training format and guidance for an effective New Hire Orientation Program, to include orientation material development and post-assessments Onboarding: Provide onboarding activities to promote employee retention, i.e. - stay interview, 'rap session', employee engagement assessments Auditing: Periodically, audit I-9 Compliance and Personnel files to ensure company standards as well as federal, state and local laws are being met. Additional Training: Provide assistance and tailor programs to departments creating job instruction training for their work group. HIPAA Training, Employment Law Training REQUIREMENTS: Previous training and facilitation experience Strong verbal and written communication skills Working knowledge of multi-media communication methods MS Suite computer skills, emphasis on PowerPoint Understanding of adult pedagogy and learning techniques HR auditing experience, including personnel file and I-9 Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively If you are interested in this position, please send me your latest resume to [Click Here to Email Your Resumé]
