Supervisor of Ramp Services ** Airport Experience Required**
Location: Honolulu, HI
The classification of Supervisor Ramp Services includes managing, coordinating and controlling airport ramp functions (as described below); monitors the quantity and quality of work performance; directing personnel within assigned functional area; overseeing and advising on staffing requirements; participating in the discipline, coaching, counseling, hiring and termination of subordinates; training subordinates, ensures compliance with Company rules and regulations, union contracts (if applicable), Company standards and contractual agreements; ensures budgetary controls and manning requirements. This position may include responsibility for communication between individual customers and the Company. Proactively monitors the work of assigned employees to ensure that customer satisfaction, safety, security, quality and employee relations meet or exceed standards. Ensures they administer practices in a fair and equitable manner, where all employees, customers, vendors and other third parties are treated with respect. The scope of the job may vary with the size of the operation and its primary line of business.
Ramp Service Functions:
Includes the following: loading and unloading of cargo (mail, express, baggage, freight, and company material) on and off aircraft; the transporting of cargo between terminals and aircraft; the ramp transfers of cargo where required; the receiving, delivering, and physical handling of freight and company material, export at the designated express docks, mail and baggage in the outbound baggage room; the completion of forms and messages related to and necessary for the performance of the designated locations of the functions described. The cleaning and servicing of cabin interiors, including cockpit and lavatories; draining lavatories; checking, handling, assembling, removing and installing passenger service cabin furnishings and supplies. Transporting such furnishings and supplies to and from aircraft. Assisting in loading, unloading and racking both filled and empty drums. In addition, de-ice aircraft clean aircraft windshields, pushout/tow aircraft and related guide man functions; connect/remove ground power and ground start units. May be required to clean the exterior of aircraft with specialized cleaning fluids. May be assigned to perform routine cleaning of work areas, ramps, and facilities with or without powered equipment. May be assigned to assist in monitoring security of facility. May be assigned to do routine automotive repair; servicing and cleaning of powered and unpowered equipment.

Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole
numbers, common fractions, and decimals, and have ability to compute rate, percent and
interpret bar graphs.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Ability to interpret extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Ability to lift 70 lbs
Work in a high noise level environment.
Cognitive skills to set priorities and use independent judgment, have the ability to handle
Stress, and work with minimal supervision.
Reports to work on a regular and timely basis.
Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language. Must be able to work weekends (Friday, Saturday and Sunday), holidays and days off.
