Location: Huntsville, AL
Overview: The therapist intern provides studies and learns how to effectively provide individual, family, and group therapy as well as case management services within a residential treatment environment. Position requires professional communication and liaison with parents, referral sources, and other treatment professionals. This position consists of interacting directly with adolescents with defiant behavior and oppositional conduct disorder as well as inappropriate sexual behaviors.
Qualifications: The candidate must possess a valid internship requirement from their university to obtain their Masters degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work or closely related clinical field. A minimum of 21 years of age or older is required. A clean criminal background, and valid drivers license. Additional requirements as set forth by program policy, and university expectations.
