Village-Based Rural
Alaska – Mid-Level PAs/NPs


Provide acute, chronic,
emergency and preventive care to outlying village residents in accordance with
NSHC’s mission, philosophy, policies and procedures while under the direct
supervision of physicians in Nome, Alaska.






Working
Conditions:




Work is conducted in a standard office environment and a
standard clinical environment to include exposure to latex, biohazard or other
harmful substances





  • Moderate travel is required (between 25% and 50% of the time)

  • Travel is required via large aircraft

  • Travel is required via small (less than 16 passenger) aircraft

  • Travel is required via snow mobiles, All Terrain Vehicles or boat





Job Requirements



Nurse Practitioner / NP




Relocate to Nome, Alaska!








Minimum Requirements –
Mid-Level NPs





  • A Master's degree in an
    accredited Family Nurse Practitioner program is
    required.

  • Must be licensed to practice as a Mid-Level Provider in the State of
    Alaska or able to transfer your license here; 

  • NCCPA, PALS, Medevac, ACLS and BLS certification/registration; 

  • DEA#. 

  • In
    addition, must maintain a current collaborating agreement with a Physician or
    Physicians on the NSHC Medical Staff.
