This position is responsible
for budgeting, forecasting, financial statement preparation and consolidation,
account analysis and reconciliations and internal controls.
RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties as
the general ledger on a monthly basis for designated markets including all
supporting sub-ledgers, account reconciliations, account analyses and journal
entries, ensuring financial integrity and compliance with GAAP.
monthly expenses to ensure correct recording at store level for proper matching
of cost against revenue. Research expense variances and perform appropriate
annual, quarterly and monthly store level budgets and financial forecasts.
with Market Sales Managers to ensure understanding of financial goals and
performance against those goals by helping to identify and manage risks and
month end financial statements and supporting schedules as well as variance
analysis for consolidation.
asset accounting functions for the designated market groups including the
recording of purchases, disposals and the maintenance of depreciation
the flow of inventory and perform monthly inventory reconciliations.
special projects and ad-hoc analysis as required.
Support 3-5 Markets (25-30
stores) representing $85-$100 Million in sales volume.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field with 4 - 6 years related work experience.
Good oral and written communications skills
Ability to work cross-functionally departments and with external vendors
Strong problem-solving abilities using accounting principles and cross-functional collaboration
Month-end close experience
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel and Access)
Some experience planning, monitoring, and/or managing budgets
