Tower Climber / Top Hand *202218 (Michigan)

Allstates Technical Services has positions open for Top Hands and climbers in Michigan. Do not need to be local, but do need to be close to Michigan or in Michigan. Pay is $20 to $28 an hour depending on expereince.  1.Performs various construction tasks in the areas of tower erection, coaxial cable and antenna installation, antenna mount installation, RF testing and troubleshooting, fiber optic testing and troubleshooting.
2.Uses complex test equipment, power tools and hand tools related to tower and RF installations.
3.Estimates time and materials costs of various projects.
4.Requisitions new supplies and equipment.
5. Performs all work in accordance with established OSHA and General Dynamics safety procedures.
6. Provide guidance, training and work leadership to direct subordinates.
7. Participates in special projects as required.

Performs various construction tasks, including carpentry, painting, plastering, welding, and related tasks.
1. Performs various construction tasks in the areas of plumbing, carpentry, painting, plastering, machine servicing and/or installation.
2. Uses power tools and hand tools.
3. Estimates time and materials costs of various projects.
4. Requisitions new supplies and equipment.
5. Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
6. Participates in special projects as required.
7. May provide guidance and work leadership to less-experienced workers.
1.Requires a High School Diploma or GED.
2.Valid tower climber certification

1.3-5 years of related tower erection, RF installation and testing experience.
2.Valid tower climber certification
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
1.Ability to climb towers and lead less experienced tower climbers
2.Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
3.Knowledge of relevant tools and equipment.

3-5 years of related construction experience.
GENERAL SUMMARY:
Performs various wireless telecommunications construction tasks including tower erection, coaxial and antenna installation and required RF testing, welding, and related tasks.
Valid tower climber certification
WORKING CONDITIONS:
The work is typically performed at client site locations, which requires proper safety precautions; work requires moderate physical effort in the handling of light materials, tools or equipment.
