Technicians accurately, precisely, and safely perform a variety of routine and specialized tests, some of which are complex. Professional application of the principles, theories and techniques of medical technology are used to produce reliable test results. The technician provides service/care to inpatients, outpatients, to include infants/neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients on a 24-hour basis. Technicians perform phlebotomy and clerical duties as needed. Utilizes accepted quality control, instrument maintenance and quality assurance techniques striving for continuous quality improvement.
