Quality Assurance Analyst
Job Description: Position Summary: This position assists Development teams in the successful shipment of defect-free software releases on time and within budget with a focus on building and enhancing quality processes. This position also provides QA planning and execution.
Major Responsibilities and Percent of Work Time:
Responsible for functional testing ensuring Quality Assurance guidelines and company standards are being followed-45%
Ensure bug fixes are successfully tested-20%
Execute and maintain test cases-10%
Report discrepancies in the Tracking System-10%
Evaluates new tools, techniques, standards, test case scenarios and best practices for software testing-10%
Perform other duties as assigned-5%
Requirements:
Associate degree in computer or business related field and a minimum of three years software testing or a combination thereof
Three years client/server software experience
Two years relational database experience writing scripts with SQL or Oracle
Ticket tracking software experience preferably TFS
Excellent communication, organization and interpersonal skills
Business travel may be required as determined at the supervisors discretion
May require extended work schedules, tight deadlines and conflicting priorities
