Financial Analyst

Our client, an industry leader with operations in the Triad (central NC) has an immediate need for a Financial Analyst. Reporting to the Manager of FP&A, the Financial Analyst will serve as a key member of the group by providing economic analyses, studies and counsel on matters of potentially significant financial impact to the company. This high level analytical position combines a thorough knowledge of accounting and finance issues with business sense.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design and creation of reporting tools and new financial reports.
  • Assist with research, coordination, analysis and evaluation of simple to complex projects and assignments.
  • Review existing treasury and bank systems and recommend enhancements to provide increased visibility, control, and standardization.
  • Develop reporting packages, track key metrics and perform budget to actual analyses.
  • Provide regular performance reporting to various levels of management including senior management and the board of directors.
  • Develop detailed financial models including cost-benefit analysis and outlining key revenue drivers and critical success factors.
  • Cash forecasting.
  • Work effectively with cross functional teams on multiple projects.
  • Problem identification, analysis and resolution.
  • Analytical and other special projects as assigned.

Job Requirements

    • BS/BA in Finance or Accounting with 2-5 years of experience required.
    • Excellent computer skills including spreadsheet and database applications, Tableau helpful.
    • Some type of business intelligence or systems experience is critical.
    • Good written and verbal communication, attention to detail and problem solving skills.
    • Ability to multi-task at a fast pace.
    • Excellent time management skills, extremely organized.
    • Strong interpersonal and communications skills.
    • Ability to work independently without day-to-day direction.
