HR Payroll Coordinator

Our client, a stable, established and growing employer with headquarters in the Triad (central NC) has an immediate need for an HR Payroll Coordinator.  Reporting to the Payroll and Benefits Manager, the Coordinator is responsible for processing biweekly and monthly payroll for 450+ employees.  This position is held to the highest standards of professionalism and integrity and interfaces in the following areas:  payroll, benefits, employee relations and human resources. 


MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND FUNCTIONS

  • Administer bi-weekly and monthly payroll for multiple locations
  • Update and maintain payroll records including banking details, deductions and tax information
  • Provide expert advice, timely responses and coaching regarding payroll inquiries and issues
  • Develop and facilitate payroll training
  • Maintain employee benefits files
  • Respond to benefits inquiries accurately and efficiently
  • Assists Benefits Manager with benefits administration, open enrollment, employment verifications and other benefits-related employee matters
  • Manage company Electronic Communication Stations
  • Assist with new hire process
  • Lead all corporate employee relations events and projects
  • Collaborate with HR/OD team to create efficient, consistent solutions and processes
  • Create and maintain routine and monthly reports as needed
  • Continually seeks ways to improve processes
  • Other duties as assigned


Job Requirements

  • BS / BA degree or equivalent experience.
  • PHR certification a plus.
  • At least 3 years experience in the field of HR required.
  • Experience in multi-state payroll administration strongly preferred.  
  • Experience with ADP preferred.
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) required.
  • Requires excellent analytical, conflict resolution and problem solving skills; excellent verbal and written communication; and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be able to deal with personnel matters in a confidential, objective and professional manner.
