Job Description

Advanced Personnel Resources is recruiting for a contract Pricing Analyst for our client in Greensboro, NC.

  • Recommend price changes to maintain target margins and to meet competitive situations.
  • Perform portfolio pricing and profitability analysis to assist in development of price discount recommendations and market price position to achieve sales volume and profit objectives.
  •  Analyze options and features by volume, price, added customer value and margin to optimize total contribution 
  •  Analyze price information and identify areas where the price relationship is out of line.
  •  Support the compilation of cost information on all truck base models and optional equipment.
  •  Manage assigned Mainframe maintenance applications and pricing systems.
  •  Assure price files are continually maintained to keep information current and accurate.
  • Coordinate with product structure team to provide updated pricing information for the truck Price Book.
  •  Perform option margin analysis and competitive price analysis for US, Canada, and Mexico.
  • Collaborate with marketing, sales engineering, and product structure teams to recommend standard options to meet customer needs and profit objectives.
  •  Coordinate efforts with project management and purchasing to assure new options are priced effectively to meet the product plan.
  • Develop competitive and market intelligence benchmarking to maintain competitive position in marketplace utilizing feedback from field, RSA, customers and product managers.
  • Determine optimal option and CA price and margin utilizing manufacturing, engineering and market place inputs. Understand competitors pricing and availability of comparable options and CAs.

  • Strong PC skills, with emphasis on Microsoft Office suite of products; Excel and Access in particular.


Job Requirements

  •  Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience
  • 1-3 years’ experience in sales, pricing, finance, marketing or engineering
  • Experience with developing and managing database structures and systems
  • Experience in multi-faceted problem solving
  • Knowledge of sales or pricing systems is a plus
