This position will support the strategic pricing activities related to all new product models and options for this premiere company in the automotive industry and make recommendations that support the company’s financial objectives while maintaining a competitive position in the marketplace. This is a high energy role. The successful candidate would need to adapt to a high paced rapidly changing environment and must stay abreast of changes which affects market conditions which may have an impact on the customer’s needs and company strategy.

 

Responsibilities will include but not limited to the following

  • Make recommend price changes to maintain impacting target margins to meet competitive situations.
  • Perform portfolio pricing and profitability analysis to assist in development of price discount recommendations and market price position to achieve sales volume and profit objectives.
  • Analyze options and features by volume, price, added customer value and margin to optimize total contribution 
  • Analyze price information and identify areas where the price relationship is out of line.
  • Manage the maintenance of applications and pricing systems maintenance
  • Assure price files are continually maintained to keep information current and accurate.
  • Work with and provide updated pricing information to the project team
  • Provide margin analysis and competitive price analysis for supportive markets
  • Collaborate with marketing, sales engineering, and product structure teams to recommend standard options to meet customer needs and profit objectives.
  • Develop competitive and market benchmarking
  • Determine optimal option and cost analysis pricing, margin utilization manufacturing, engineering and market place effects
  • Understand competitive markets.

Job Requirements

 Required Experience:

  • Strong analytical skills and strategic thinking.
  • Comfortable to work with large amounts of data and to follow process routines.
  • Must be detail oriented with strong problem solving/decision making skills.
  • Must have excellent time management and prioritization skills.
  • Must have the ability to work in a high paced, rapidly changing environment.
  • Must be a team player with excellent communication skills.
  • Must have the ability to provide technical solutions.
  • Must be customer service focused
  • Must have strong PC skills, with emphasis on Microsoft Office suite of products; Excel and Access in particular.


Educational and/or Training

Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent years of experience


Experience and Knowledge

  • Requires 1-3 years’ experience in sales, pricing, finance, marketing or engineering
  • Experience with developing and managing database structures and systems
  • Experience in multi-faceted problem solving
  • Knowledge of sales or pricing systems is a plus
