Sales Administrator

Job Description

Primary responsibility is to coordinate quote requests through review of item specifications and the bidding process. Work with design, customer service and the sales team.   


  • Print all emails and coordinate all RFQ requests for quote. 
  • Send costs to the engineering department, which will include comment on V/E opportunities and any vendor-specific direction.
  • Forward completed RFQ file with costs to Inside Sales Team for final determination of sell cost.  
  • Create spreadsheet and analyze various cost comparisons or COM usages. 
  • Types quotes with relevant and detailed information and send to sales representative. 
  • Create actual printed file as well as electronic master file onto the company’s Shared Drive.
  • Process purchase orders as they come in via e-mail/fax/mail; print and correlate.
  • Pull corresponding quote file and review all purchase order information against the quote and design specifications.
  • Make note of any discrepancies and keep the sales representative(s) and customer service team abreast of any inconsistencies.
  • Review and collaborate with order entry and other departments as required.
  • Comply with all Health and Safety guidelines. 
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
  • Perform other duties as required or assigned.

Job Requirements


  • High School Diploma or equivalent.  College degree preferred.
  • 3-5 years relevant experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Working knowledge of furniture and hospitality industry.   
  • Ability to meet deadlines on a consistent basis with minimal supervision.
  • Strong administrative skill set (phone, filing, typing, copying, etc.)
  • Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills; result oriented with a strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication, listening and interpersonal skills; the ability to interface effectively at all levels both internally and externally.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
