We are currently seeking qualified candidates for an Analyst Retirement Benefits position that will be based in our Human Resources department. This position is based at our corporate office in Altamonte Springs, FL.  
This position provides the opportunity to assist the Director of Employee Benefits by providing support and guidance to the organization with regard to retirement and other tax deferred savings plan practices and strategies. As needed, performs assessments and research to facilitate the use of best practices throughout the System; applies analytical and creative abilities to formulate solutions to complex, non-routine benefit issues; researches complex issues and provides suggestions for resolutions or improvements to Human Resources programs and Benefit plans. Develops and defines processes and standard operating procedures for the administration of retirement plans. Assists with other benefit projects and participates in the development of communication materials for the annual enrollment process.
Specific job duties include:
Retirement Plans (50%):
  • Develop standard operating procedures and oversee/audit administration and communication of all plans to ensure compliance with plan documents and ERISA regulations as applicable.
  • Provide oversight and develop strategy related to AHS retirement plans.
  • Respond to and complete audits of ERISA plans
  • Participate and provide information for preparation of 5500, and other required, filings
  • Review quarterly distribution reports and verify for accuracy (required for audits)
  • Develop processes report terminations to frozen plans and 457(b) plans on a quarterly basis, and troubleshoot/audit any gaps.
  • Develop processes to initiate participant communications to terminated employees in frozen plans, as needed to encourage rollovers or distributions, and create ongoing plans to address communication to terminated employees on a regular basis.
  • Complete AHRP applications for new AHS entities. Ensure AHRP profiles for all entities reflect current policy.
  • Provide communication materials regarding retirement plans and facilitate employee understanding, appreciation and participation in retirement savings.
  • Oversee and manage the relationship with the Independent Fiduciary, outsourced Plan Administrators and all trustees/custodians.

Savings Plans (35%):

  • Provide strategic oversight and vendor management to other assorted tax deferred savings plans (HSA, FSA, 529, etc.)
  • Provide communication materials regarding savings plans and facilitate employee understanding, appreciation and participation in savings plans.
  • Facilitate the saving plans components for annual enrollment.
Vendor Management Related Activities and Special Projects (15%):
  • Assist the Director with benefit vendor management issues
  • Participate in the process of marketing our benefits on a regular basis, ensuring that our consultant has the information needed for preparation and review of RFPs, and facilitate implementation of new benefits/vendors as needed
  • Facilitate the successful completion of special projects as needed
  • Assist with the projects and recurring tasks that support the COE function coordinating with HR Shared Services and facility HR Business Partners
Experience Requirements:
  • Four years of experience working within the employee benefits field.
Educational Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree specializing in Business, Human Resources, Employee Benefits or a related field required.
  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • Certified Benefits Professional (CBP) preferred
  • Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS) preferred
Knowledge and Skills Required:
  • Knowledgeable of DB and DC retirement plan structures, designs and legal requirements
  • Proficient in MS Office products including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Must be able to operate office equipment including personal computer, scanners, fax machines, printers and copy machines
  • Ability to communicate with, and educate others on tax deferred savings plans
  • Detail oriented, with strong proofreading and editing skills
  • Self-motivated, with flexibility to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to resolve issues with minimal direction or guidance, as well as work independently and as a team member
  • Adapt to changing and multiple deadlines, managing day-to-day workflow
  • Knowledge of AHS culture and structure
  • Has a in depth knowledge of benefit laws and rules
  • Strong communication skills; ability to communicate complex plans to participants in a way they can understand.
