We are currently seeking qualified candidates for a Clinical Mission Integration Consultant position that will be based in our Clinical Mission Integration department.  This position is based at our Gordon Hospital in Calhoun, GA.

The CMI Consultant is responsible to provide mission support in the outpatient practices along with consultative promotion and training of mission strategies and best practices for key stakeholders in the assigned territory. This includes training providers to conduct screening spiritual assessments and developing and supporting Spiritual Care Teams in the practice. The CMI Consultant will continue to expand their territory through recruiting and business development activities such as generating new leads, presenting CMI initiatives to key leaders and providers, maintaining relationships and following up after presentation(s). The CMI Consultant will also train, implement and support additional CMI components such as Spiritual Ambassadors and CREATION Health as indicated by the CMI Manager and/or Director. CMI Consultant will manage their territory to maximize growth of CMI initiatives. The CMI Consultant will conduct regularly scheduled practice visits and maintain documentation of field activity by managing and tracking metrics. Additionally, the CMI Consultant will establish relationships with diverse community faith leaders to create a network of support for patients in their chosen faith tradition.

Specific job duties include:

Business Development
  • Recruit and manage territory growth and development
  • Generate new leads to aim in recruiting additional providers into CMI initiatives
  • Pitch and present CMI initiatives to leadership and providers
  • Market expansion and consumption of mission components
  • Utilization of best practices integrated into mission
  • Driving AHS core metrics in the area of Mission and Physician Well-Being
  • Responsible for managing the implementation of CMI program components in their territory
Patient Support
  • Tracks referrals from their territory sent for Spiritual Counseling via 'Tele-Care'
  • Ensures and tracks that a Spiritual Care Plan (SCP) is returned to the provider within 72 hours of spiritual care intervention
  • Maintains accurate documentation of spiritual care referrals
  • Maintains a network of spiritual support for patients
Practice Support
  • Provides training and delivers ongoing support for providers to conduct screening spiritual assessments
  • Assists in development and ongoing support of Spiritual Care Teams
  • Mentors and supports the Spiritual Care Coordinators to lead their Spiritual Care Teams
  • Participates in Spiritual Care Team Huddles monthly to quarterly as indicated
  • Collects and reports stories and experiences that highlight the mission integration impact in their assigned practices
  • Maintains a log of practice visits by date, documenting any pertinent information for management
  • Implements and supports additional mission-based initiatives as required

Community Support
  • Establishes relationships with diverse community faith leaders to create a network of spiritual support for patients
  • Liaisons with hospital chaplains for continuity of patient’s spiritual care on admission to hospital
  • Participates in mission-based community activities related to CMI

Job Requirements

Experience Requirements:
  • 5 years experience providing outpatient practice management support required
  • 2+ years’ experience working in the outpatient clinical setting preferred
  • 2+ years of territory management experience preferred
  • 5+ years of practice management experience preferred

Education Requirements:

  • Associate’s degree or 3 years of business development/territory development or training experience required
  • Bachelors Degree preferred
Knowledge & Skills Required:
  • Ability to lead prayer
  • Ability to engage in spiritual dialogue
  • Ability to interact with professionals in the physician setting
  • Goal-oriented
  • Aligned with and knowledge and willingness to promote the Mission of the Organization
  • Ability to adapt training modules by customizing and redesigning to each practice
  • Ability to attain growth targets as evidenced by recruitment and retention
  • Ability to coach and train individuals and teams
  • Self-starter – ability to work with minimum supervision
  • Strong understanding of outpatient practice culture and dynamics preferred
  • Proven track record of territory management and growth preferred
  • Demonstrates ability to effectively support providers and their teams with a wide range of physical, emotional and spiritual needs preferred
