The Clinical Information Systems Technical Architect has an extensive understanding of system build and implementation, the ability to analyze and understand business problems, and the knowledge to make solution recommendations that meet the organizational goals of maintaining clinical and business systems. They are dedicated to providing a secure, effective, integrated patient care delivery system that continually improves outcomes, reduces cost, increases efficiency, and enhances patients~ experiences. Primary responsibilities include collaborating with clinicians and end users of the system to design, build, test, train, implement, evaluate, and maintain Diagnostic Imaging Systems and Voice Recognition Applications and other associated systems. The Clinical Information Systems Technical Architect-Imaging Diagnostic~s must utilize the knowledge of clinical practice, computer science, and information technology to manage data and determine components that are suitable to build while maintaining alignment with the professional standards of clinical practice. This person is responsible for coordinating with physicians and end users in the analysis and documentation of clinical workflows, performing gap analysis, identifying needed process changes, and developing future workflows during the implementation of new solutions or functionality. The ability to communicate with all levels of hospital leadership, clinicians, physicians, and ancillary department staff is essential for this position. The Architect will be responsible for defining, implementing, and supporting existing units into the PACS enterprise solution. The role will help define required hardware needs using existing infrastructure where possible. In addition, the role will help support the PACS transformation plan to the PACS enterprise solution by defining the strategic system needs (storage servers, workstations) and help coordinating the teams to complete installation

Job Requirements

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED: Experience: 3-5+ years~ experience with clinical/technical system application implementation with Cerner required. (Customized for each group) 3-5+ years of clinical/technical background required Experience with leading small groups or projects required Strong facilitation and interpersonal/relationship building skills. Ability to manage multiple projects. Computer literate including Windows, PowerPoint, MS Word and Excel. Strong skill sets on computer HW and operation systems such as Sun Solaris, and MS Windows. Knowledgeable about TCP/IP networks. Knowledge on storage technology. Able to analyze complex technical situations and provide decisive recommendations to end users

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: College Degree (B.A., B.S. or significant commensurate experience) in a field of study such as business, IS, or healthcare related area required.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED: Advanced degree is preferred. Member of one professional organization related to job responsibilities preferred.

LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED: Completion of one profession
