We are currently seeking qualified candidates for a Coding Supervisor position that will be based in our Physician Enterprise department.  This position is based at our Corporate Headquarters in Altamonte Springs, FL.
This position has the opportunity to be responsible for providing supervision and validating coder productivity and accuracy. The Coding Supervisor will also be responsible for performing surgical abstract coding, working coding related tasks and denials, and charge review of identified risk areas.
Specific job duties include:
  • Supervise on-site and remote coding staff.
  • Performs annual employee evaluations.
  • Performs coding and abstracting functions
  • Estimates time to complete tasks and regularly tracks actual time against estimates.
  • Provides the PE Managers and Directors with written status reports, issues and overall status of the projects assigned.
  • Leads and participates in special projects.
 
Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree or 5 years related experience, required.
  • Computer knowledge of Microsoft software, Power Point, Visio, electronic medical record applications, coding software, required.
  • CPC, CCS-P, RHIA, RHIT, required. 
Experience Requirements:
  • Minimum of two years outpatient coding experience, required.
  • Minimum of two years of experience as a manager, required.
