Under general supervision, proactively preserves the integrity of data center infrastructure, systems, applications, and hardware through tools, processes, and standards that align with services supported by the AHS-IS Data Center Operations Team. The primary role of the Enterprise Systems Administrator Intermediate will be to deliver, maintain, and support the Infrastructure Operations Center (IOC), Enterprise Server Endpoint Management, and Unified Systems Monitoring services. This includes but is not limited to managing events and incidents throughout their lifecycle, researching and coordinating system updates over 2,800+ heterogeneous server systems, and assisting with support and proactive development of systems monitoring tools and processes.

Job Responsibilities
• Responsible for managing IOC events and incidents throughout their lifecycle which ensures that normal service operation is restored as quickly as possible and business impact is minimized.
• Manage and coordinate post incident review processes to identify and implement service improvements in processes and technologies.
• Engage the use of monitoring and performance tools such as SolarWinds for providing enhanced diagnostics and data analysis to determine root cause. This includes analyzing performance and events on all applicable server operating systems and managed hardware.
• Regular analysis of alarms and events for improvements and tuning during non-incident occurrences.
• Develop and implement custom SolarWinds performance dashboards and health reports which includes proactive infrastructure health and capacity trending reports. Identify and escalate potential issues to affected teams.
• Identify and implement SolarWinds Server Application Monitoring components to expand visibility and alerting of critical AHS-IS applications and services.
• Training and development of technical support staff including IOC service members, Systems Administrators, and other key stakeholders
• Develop scripts and queries to enhance SolarWinds monitoring of components on non-standard systems and applications
• Lead management, maintenance, and support of IBM Endpoint Manager (IEM, built on BigFix technology) which supports Enterprise Server Endpoint Management services.
• Lead coordination, deployment, and tracking of security patches, recommended updates, and server reboots during enterprise monthly downtimes which includes working evening and overnight shifts
• Post Downtime analysis of updates to determine root cause of critical service impacting events
• Create IEM analysis queries to extract operating system, application, and hardware data for inventory and reporting purposes
• Create IEM system policy configurations and automation through scripting language and concepts
• Open and triage support tickets with application vendors
• Develop and document standards, processes, and policies
• Maintain vendor relationships which includes coordinating and leading discussions on key topics
• Cross train team members and end-users throughout the enterprise
• Provide work coverage, on-call coverage, & backup support for job responsibilities and cross-team services

Job Requirements

Qualifications:
• 3-5 years of enterprise application management experience.
• Ability to understand, recommend, design, and implement enterprise applications
• Strong interpersonal skills with a positive and enthusiastic 'can do' attitude.
• Ability to quickly learn systems with little or no documentation.
• Ability to take ownership of projects and systems, and coordinate with business and technical teams to drive progress
• Must have the ability to work well with people of varying levels of technical abilities.
• Strong organization and time management skills
• Experience working on projects as both a resource and as a technical project manager.
