We are currently seeking qualified candidates for an Equipment Planner/Project Manager position that will be based in our Supply Chain department.  This position is based at our corporate office in Altamonte Springs, FL.


This position will have oversight for the planning and sourcing related to owner furnished equipment (OFE) for assigned construction projects. Under the direction of the Manager, Construction Services, coordinate activities related to building and management of the OFE with architects, engineers, contracting teams and hospitals. The equipment planner is responsible for development and management of equipment needs, providing procurement detail to ensure that timing, costs and contracts are adhered to and provide procurement functions as needed, reporting, and follow up activities.  This position provides professional guidance related to design changes and equipment specifications while delivering quality customer service to all departments.  


Specific job duties include:
  • Proficient at managing multiple projects, providing deliverables in a timely manner, with accuracy, thoroughness, and minimal supervision.
  • Lead or co-lead user group meetings; attend onsite as needed, succinctly communicating decisions, changes and follow up within expected time frames.
  • Develop and manage owner furnished equipment data; effectively coordinating and communicating with all team members.
  • Develop and manage the equipment budget and monthly reporting by project. 
  • Provide coordination and timely distribution of owner furnished equipment lists, technical data and budget to Project Manager.
  • Provide leadership in product and vendor selections ensuring AHS contracts and standards are incorporated while meeting the needs of the customer.
  • Demonstrate ownership of projects; and accept responsibility for success or failure.
  • Complete PeopleSoft requisitions for equipment as required ensuring complete and accurate information and attachments are included. 

Experience Requirements:   

  • Five years’ experience in construction / equipment planning projects required
  • Five years’ experience in the medical equipment planning industry preferred
  • Experienced with building and equipment specifications preferred
  • Experience in utilization of Attainia software preferred
  • Familiar with web based applications and PeopleSoft ERP preferred
  • Project management preferred
Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree or 10 years work experience in a Supply Chain related field
Knowledge and Skills Required:
  • Knowledge of medical equipment planning practices.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects/tasks.
  • Solid understanding of sourcing/procurement and Supply Chain practices.
  • Effective communication, both written and verbal to various levels and types of audiences.
  • Familiarity with construction blueprints and ability to read/interpret floor plans.
  • Proficiency with analytical software tools/ Excel
Travel:
  • Travel as needed to ensure effective project management estimated to be approximately 30%-40% of time.
