We are currently seeking qualified candidates for a Compensation Analyst position that will be based in our Human Resources department. This position is based at our corporate office in Altamonte Springs, FL.  
This position provides the opportunity to support Adventist Health System’s Compensation Center of Expertise (CoE) function. This person applies analytical and creative abilities to research issues and provide suggestions for resolutions or improvements to Compensation Strategy and Administration programs and plans. The Analyst researches all aspect of the impact of proposed programs and practices; including job analysis, job evaluation, documentation, benchmarking, participating in compensation surveys, and creating communications for internal and external use. The Analyst communicates and performs logistical activities for rolling out new programs and practices, following up on responses from business units.
Specific job duties include:
  • Researches current company practices and industry best practices to formulate recommendations for standardization, policy and program development.
  • Prepares drafts of program policies and revisions to program policies, drawing from committee input, best practices and published reputable sources.
  • Conducts analysis for the purpose of data clean-up and standardization.
  • Analyzes the impact of new programs or changes to programs, preparing reports that indicate facility differences and potential impacts including costs, workforce impacts, procedure impacts and communication impacts.
  • Effectively communicates Talent Management practices to HR Business Partners and others as needed, bringing questions of interpretation to supervisor as needed.
  • Prepares communication to facilities and follows up on any acknowledgements not returned, escalating issues as appropriate.
  • Maintains ongoing and up-to-date knowledge of AHS company-wide policies in all areas and best practices in other organizations.
  • Conducts industry compensation comparisons, validates market survey data, performs compensation analysis, and sends market analysis data package to facilities
  • Reviews proposals for new or revised classifications to determine appropriate exempt or non-exempt assignment in accordance with federal regulations
  • Reviews proposed salary actions for compliance with established guidelines, policies, and budget limits
  • Assists in gathering data for salary surveys as directed
  • Updates HCM system with annual merit pay matrix for facilities as directed; Loads and updates compensation data in the HCM system
  • Serves as an information source regarding pay practices and policies; Provides advice to managers/director on new or non-routine compensation decisions for employees, policy and guideline interpretation, and job evaluation
  • Maintains documentation of all activities related to compensation
Experience Requirements:
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in Human Resources
  • Compensation experience preferred
Educational Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related area
  • CCP preferred
Knowledge and Skills:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel required
  • Human Capital Management (HCM) experience, especially PeopleSoft preferred
  • Proficiency in Structured Query Language (SQL) preferred
