We are currently seeking qualified candidates for a HR Instructional Designer position that will be based in our ERP Human Resources department.  This position is based at our solutions center in Altamonte Springs, FL.
The HR Instructional Designer will support the iSynergy project within Adventist Health System’s Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) initiative. Within the project, the Instructional Designer will play a key role in ensuring the successful adoption of the iSynergy implementations through training for processes including employee/manager self-service features, process and functionality available through The Hub as well as time and attendance system. This Instructional Designer’s responsibilities include the design, development, and delivery of the facility facing process, policy, and application technology training for AHS facilities related to iSynergy. The instructional designer functions as the subject matter expert (SME) around instructional design, learning methodologies and technologies. This position plays a key role in ensuring that end users possess the knowledge to utilize the Oracle PeopleSoft, Taleo and Time and Attendance application as designed based on the end user’s role. The HR Instructional Designer provides a holistic training approach to provide guidance and support to end users with a myriad of learning styles.  This position acts as an advocate for the iSynergy project.


This Instructional Designer works under the direction of the iSynergy HR Instructional Design Senior Manager and collaborates primarily with the iSynergy functional HR and/or Talent Development Transformation team members to identify appropriate identify the appropriate learning objectives and suggest the appropriate learning methodology to achieve knowledge transfer of learning objectives. This position will develop curriculum and content of training material which includes development of courses, job aids, quick reference guides, user manual and other relative training resources as indicated. The instructional designer will also facilitate training sessions using materials created in a variety of training delivery methods.  The iSynergy HR Instructional Designer maintains detailed knowledge of all related applications/processes from an end-user standpoint and possesses the ability to demonstrate and clearly articulate this knowledge.
Specific job duties include:
  • Develop multi-faceted training approach and content for the purpose of training end users on Oracle PeopleSoft, Taleo and Time and Attendance application.
  • Deliver multi-faceted training delivery methodologies to achieve learning to all participants with varying degrees of working knowledge of iSynergy.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize and meet deadlines while maintaining attention to detail, quality work, and customer service
  • Responsible for tracking, testing, and implementing training content for changes to HR/Time and Attendance, processes, applications, and interfaces
  • Working knowledge of Human Resources, Leadership responsibilities and Time and Attendance processes including self-service tools accessible through The Hub.
  • Develop multi-faceted training approach and content for the purpose of training end users on Oracle HCM Cloud Talent Management application
  • Deliver multi-faceted training delivery methodologies to achieve learning to all participants with varying degrees of working knowledge of Talent Management.
  • Serve as a talent management liaison with Corporate Organization Effectiveness and other third parties, as needed
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize and meet deadlines while maintaining attention to detail, quality work, and customer service
  • Responsible for tracking, testing, and implementing training content for changes to talent management forms, processes, applications, and interfaces.
  • Working knowledge of talent management processes including performance management, goal setting, succession management, merit and performance-based compensation
  • Develop multi-faceted training materials for the purpose of delivering training to end users Talent Management iSynergy applications, including ILT, CBL, UPK, QRGs, User Manuals, etc.

  • Develop Computer Based Learning via UPK and Adobe Captivate
  • Conceptualize, design and produce graphics demonstrating complex constructs and concepts.  Takes complex concepts and communicates them in simple, easily understood terms both verbally and in training materials.
  • Develop “Train the Trainer” classes and/or training material to designated facility staff for purposes of delivering ongoing facility instruction.
  • Incorporate into training curriculum development new AHS HR business processes resulting from HR governance committee decisions as related to the HR applications.
  • Maintain and continually increase knowledge of AHS HR/PR business processes and general HR/PR practice requirements, including; applications, technology, policies, procedures to anticipate and define application design needs. 
  • Build and maintain relationships within iSynergy Talent Development Transformation team and key stakeholders to clearly understand the business, target audience and content needs to construct learning and performance outcomes on time or ahead of schedule.
  • Deliver “Instructor Led” classes to designated facility staff to include all courses developed for the Talent Management applications.
  • Deliver “Train the Trainer” classes to designated facility staff for purposes of delivering ongoing facility instruction.
  • Deliver training on incorporated new AHS HR business processes resulting from HR governance committee decisions as related to the Talent Management applications by relating key changes from facility specific current processes to new processes.
  • Build and manage relationships within the iSynergy team and AHS facilities to successfully accomplish training delivery tasks on schedule.
  • Develop and deploy course-level assessment to ensure learning objectives were addressed in the content at an appropriate learning level. Analyze for effectiveness of both classroom and CBL training for purposes of ongoing curriculum and delivery improvement.
  • Quality test training materials, exercises and data. Perform learning assessments on their effectiveness for training participants and update training materials, presentations, QRGs, CBL content, and/or simulations accordingly.
  • Continually assess the effectiveness of the end-user training curriculum & delivery.
  • Stay up-to-date with current and emerging trends in HR/PR healthcare business process and information management technology and its potential application.

Job Requirements

Experience Requirements:   
  • Minimum 4 years’ experience developing and delivering system end-user training preferably in HR applications required.
  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in professional trainer position managing classroom environments for business operations (corporate office, field operations, etc.)  Ideally in a Healthcare/Hospital setting.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Education, Instructional Design, HR/PR or related field required.
  • Master's Degree preferred.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Demonstrate ability to successfully manage training environments to enable delivery of HR applications related training.
  • Demonstrates understanding and value of teamwork.  Offers assistance and support to team member co-workers.  Demonstrates sensitivity inherent to cultural diversity
  • Demonstrates ability to successfully resolve training participant concerns to facilitate absorption of training content
  • Knowledge or experience with course authoring tools (UPK, Captivate, Lectora, Articulate, etc)
  • 3 years Computer Based Learning development experience
  • 3 years User Productivity Kit (UPK)
  • 1-3 years Captivate or course authoring software experience a significant plus
  • 3 years or more direct experience in HR or Time and Attendance applications preferred.
  • Advanced Verbal and Writing skills
  • Knowledge of HCM Cloud Talent Management and/or Oracle PeopleSoft Software a significant plus

Certifications:

  • CPLP preferred
  • Training Certificate, ATD preferred
  • Presentation Skills Certificate, ATD preferred
  • ATD Master Trainer preferred
