We are currently seeking qualified candidates for a HR Sourcing Specialist position that will be based in our HR Shared Services department.  This position is based at our Keller Center in Maitland, FL.


The Sourcing Specialist is responsible for managing and executing all aspects of the national sourcing efforts to develop a robust pipeline of talent in support of efficient fulfillment of Adventist Health System’s hiring needs. Works closely with Sourcing Manager, Recruiting Strategy Team Leads, and facility management to understand position requirements and establish effective sourcing venues. Sourcing also works on specialized hard to fill roles that traditionally might have gone to search. The sourcing team mimics traditional search firms but from the framework of an internal talent acquisition department.
Specific job duties include:
  • Develops and executes recruitment sourcing strategy to ensure a constant flow of high quality leads and names into assigned key pipelines and requisitions.
  • Create advanced research techniques to find top health care talent through various mediums including databases, networking, associations, social media, referrals, Boolean search strings, online and traditional directories as well as other innovative sourcing methods.
  • Effectively cold call 75+ passive candidates daily to ensure sourcing efforts produce enough pipeline.
  • Submit at least 20 qualified candidates per month.
  • Have 10 direct sourced candidates interviewed per month.
  • Have 4 direct sourced offers per month.
  • Have 2-3 direct sourced hires per month.
  • Save AHS at least $25,000 per month in agency savings.
  • Sell potential candidates on the benefits of working at the various facilities in order to get them interested in positions. 
  • Screen candidates to determine suitability for positions.
  • Successfully develop internal relationships with recruiters and hiring managers.
  • The ability to create and present sourcing strategies to executives and other stake holders.
  • Gathers and prepares data to assess effectiveness of sourcing strategy.
  • Analyzes and reports on sourcing metrics to Sourcing Manager
  • Implements best practices to continually increase the number, speed, and quality of hires.
  • Continuously builds candidate pipeline and maintains responsibility for ongoing candidate relationship management.
  • Stays abreast of current and emerging technologies in order to properly identify new venues for attracting qualified candidates
  • Participates in the utilization of blogs, professional networking, and group sites to engage candidates
  • Maintains a broad knowledge of company policies and benefit plans.

Job Requirements

Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum of three years of experience as either a corporate Sourcer or recruiter from a search firm is required. Healthcare environment experience is preferred.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in Business or Human Resources.

Technical Requirements:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required
  • Proficiency in applicant tracking systems is required, preferably Taleo
  • Experience with social networking and internet vehicles and tools, such as e-mail, search engines, social media, blogs, job boards, and job postings strongly preferred

Certifications/Licenses:

  • AIRS®, LinkedIn, and or HireVue certifications are preferred
