We are currently seeking qualified candidates for a Human Resources Senior Specialist position that will be based in our Human Resources Shared Services department.  This position is based in Altamonte Springs, FL.

With a focus on data integrity, productivity, and customer service, the Senior HR Specialist is an individual contributor who performs a wide variety of functions within HR with a moderate level of guidance and direction, focusing on workforce management transactions and Human Capital Management (HCM) system maintenance. This individual is responsible for processing transactions while working closely with HR Business Partners and managers to ensure compliance with federal, local, and state regulations.  This position also works closely with other members of the Shared Services team to ensure data changes are completely accurately and in a way to prevent negative impact to system functionality.  In addition, this position serves as an escalation path to analyze and resolve more complex problems and transaction and audits/monitors the overall quality of the work product completed by the HR Admin team.  The Senior Specialist works on special projects as assigned by the HR Administration Manager.

Specific job duties include:
  • Serve as a model to other team members by supporting and demonstrating the Team Excellence Guidelines and customer service expectations in daily work practice
  • Execute work prioritization and accuracy measures to ensure data changes and customer experience meets service and operational level agreements
  • Serve as point of contact for facility re-organization requests and complete the research and evaluation required to determine and execute the data changes to accurately meet the outcomes desired with minimal negative impact to end users
  • Represent HR Admin with facility leadership in physician practice acquisitions
  • Research and obtain information needed to accurately build position structures and assignments to support physician practice acquisitions
  • Liaise with facility HR to effectively research and complete manual hire/transfers and physician hire activities
  • Evaluate re-organization requests and establish a plan to make positon adjustments/create positions in a manner that achieves the desired outcome with minimal negative impact, communicating with requester, IT, and facility HR as needed
  • Research escalated issues related to position management to determine the root cause, impact on other systems/team, and corrections needed, following with making recommendations for resolution and completing changes as needed
  • Liaise with HR Business Partners and Corporate HR to obtain the details needed to support transitions related to high-level/sensitive position changes for executives
  • Evaluate correction requests and exception audits to determine root cause of error and escalate recommendations for training/coaching and take necessary action to ensure data integrity and accuracy
  • Build relationships and collaborate with other HR SS teams in order to establish solutions on escalated issues
  • Escalate trends and repeated issues regarding data integrity and service to supervisor accompanied with recommendations to mitigate future issues and provide an opportunity for continuous improvement measures
  • Monitor and track results of data corrections and exception audits results to effectively communicate trends/issues and progress
  • Utilize critical thinking and problem solving to research and resolve escalated system and data related issues
  • Support in the development and maintenance of HR Admin process and training documentation
  • Serve as a resource to identify, establish, and support process and system improvement
  • Contribute to establishing system testing protocol and complete testing activities to ensure effective system functionality
  • Maintain appropriate documentation in employee electronic file for changes completed
  • Maintain understanding of HR policies and procedures
  • Maintain current knowledge of federal, state, and local employment law
  • Document transaction and case status to properly indicate stage of completion
  • Produce and maintain functional records and reports

Job Requirements

Experience Requirements:   
  • Knowledge of human resource related areas of compliance, including federal, state, and local employment laws and healthcare/industry specific regulations required
  • Three years relevant human resources experience (preferred) or customer service field required
  • Diversified experience in human resources field or in a generalist role preferred

Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field
  • Professional in Human Resources (PHR) designation or equivalent preferred

Software Requirements:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required
  • Human Capital Management (HCM) experience, especially PeopleSoft, preferred
