The IS Security Architect is an expert in the design, development and support of enterprise-wide security architectures and technologies. The architect will create and enforce security architectural guidelines, standards, policies and procedures. The position will also mentor, coach and educate team members in standard processes, policies and procedures related to enterprise security. The architect will research new technologies in order to stay current with the changing security landscape and will provide security perspective to the overall enterprise IT strategy.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Architect and design information security solutions to protect the environment; address regulatory requirements and also align to the adopted security framework.
• Collaborate with internal and external partners to ensure e IT implementations align with enterprise security policy
• Review new technologies to validate alignment to the organization’s security requirements
• Evaluation of new security technologies including leading the implementation of POCs
• Identify business requirements that affect the enterprise security architecture and provide solutions that integrate into the overall architectural vision and strategy.
• Provides leadership and expertise in the development of standards, architectural governance, design patterns and security best practices.
• Drive the development and governance of security specifications, standards, and processes
• Serve as an information security advisor to key technology and business stakeholders, establishing trust relationships through active engagement and collaboration
• Analyze information to evaluate the effectiveness of controls, determine the accuracy of reports, and monitor the efficiency and security of operations.

Job Requirements

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
• Demonstrated experience in understanding security risks, identifying gaps and creating strategies
• In-depth technical experience in complex enterprise environments.
• Demonstrated experience in driving strategies, architecture directions, universal architectures, and working across boundaries to improve the security posture for the organization
• Demonstrated ability to perform a risk-based approach to securing applications, databases or infrastructure based upon technology and business needs
• Experience in designing, architecting, and implementing complex enterprise applications, infrastructures, platforms and systems, addressing security, performance, scalability, and reliability
• Solid knowledge of information security principles and practices.
• Understanding of advanced security protocols and standards
• Experience with enterprise architecture frameworks
• Experience with Identity and Access Management, Network Security, Cloud Security, Data Security, Application / Mobile Security, and Infrastructure OS Platform Security

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS PREFERRED:
• Experience with security incident response
• Blue Team/Red Team experience
• Regulatory compliance in Healthcare
• Data Security Frameworks in Healthcare

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
• Bachelor’s degree
• 5+ years experience in information technology
• 3+ years experience in information security
• CISSP, GIAC, SSCP or similar certification
