We are currently seeking qualified candidates for an Informatics Analyst position that will be based in our Home Health department. This position is based in Altamonte Spings, FL.

This position has the opportunity to be responsible for:  

Specific job duties include:
  • Demonstrates through behavior Florida Hospital’s Core Values of Integrity, Compassion, Balance, Excellence, Stewardship and Teamwork as outlined in the organization’s Performance Excellence Program.
  • Organizes, sorts and filters data in order to distinguish patterns and recognize trends. Builds, tests, and validates reports/data/metrics under supervision. Demonstrates willingness to solve difficult technical problems. Communicates the need for additional and/or new work. Works closely with supervisor as a trouble-shooter for application problems.
  • Delivers assignments/projects timely and accurately. Collaborates with other analytical team members and team supervisor/manager effectively. Prepares reports/presentation materials and assists with analyzing data trends related to informatics reporting. Presents analyses to analytical and business audience.
  • At direction of team supervisor/manager, delivers quality analysis and performs activities related to statistical data analysis, trending, and data presentation and benchmarking in order to support business goals and provide decision support at senior management levels.
  • Manages, develops, improves and maintains current reports. Designs and develops reports that support quality and process improvement projects and tracking.
  • Supports all management staff with data analysis needs including specification, design, and interpretation. Possess strong intellectual curiosity and motivated to master analytical skills.
  • Sorts priorities and accomplishes those of greatest importance.  Demonstrates verbal ability to analyze issues and effectively present ideas and views to audiences at various levels. Effectively prepares and presents technical and/or educational documentation of assigned projects and/or system(s) to enhance the knowledge of customers and team members.
  • Organizes, coordinates and assists as necessary with projects to include but not limited to create/utilize online tools/resources, pursuing new accounts, establishing and maintaining a relationship with third-party vendors, managing software, and/or following through on any other new/established workflows.
  • Works with FHHS Portal Manager, providers, client services and the Portal vendor as necessary in order to facilitate resolution of issues, create/improve workflows, and/or provide live/web-based training. Effectively communicates and coordinates information to internal and external contacts.

Job Requirements

Education Requirements:
  • BA/BS with an emphasis in healthcare, economics, statistics, information systems or other related field. Commensurate work experience will be considered.
Experience Requirements:
  • Two years minimum of health care and/or managed care related field. (Preferred)
  • Experience in programming or data processing problem analysis with an emphasis in healthcare or business applications
