The AIT Physician Enterprise Support Manager position is responsible for the maintenance and support for the core tables in athena, Cerner Oncology and OTTR.  Additionally, the AIT PE Support Manager will oversee design, build and deployment of the Cerner Oncology platform to new AHS organizations.. A strong understanding of an EHR and EPM solution and the technology required to support an EHR and EPM will be essential.
The individual will also need to understand workflow in a physicians practice.  Excellent communication skills are required.
This position will require up to 40% travel and will be based out of the Altamonte Springs, FL location

  • Ensure client services are delivered in a timely manner, managing the workload and liaising with customers, vendors and staff to ensure effective communication.
  • Liaise with vendors and subcontractors and assist in progressing, monitoring and statusing their work.
  • Liaise with AIT governance committees for each supported application.
  • Maintain ongoing personal contact with customers, key stakeholders and Sr. Leadership team members, participate in customer, project and team meetings and Steering Committees as assigned
  • Develop best practice guidelines for deployment and support in conjunction with the Director.
  • Prepare documentation, presentations, status and productivity reporting
  • Complete all customer services in accordance with the agreed technical standards, SLA’s and within budget.
  • Maintain proactive communication with customers in progressing their services and facilitate efficient delivery and support of Physician Enterprise applications.
  • Support the Director in developing other members of staff to increase the quality of our customer service and support.
  • Oversee support and training activities delivered to super users as required.
  • Ensure upgrades are successful by following established AIT testing protocols.
  • Provide Project management to assigned projects.
  • Oversee customer support requests and delivery.
  • Manage software development requests from physicians and physician office staff.
  • Manage AIT Physician Enterprise support team.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Director and Sr. Leadership team
  • Demonstrate thought leadership in areas of government relations, advocacy relative to regulatory changes, coding, reimbursement etc.

Job Requirements

  • Knowledge of clinical process and workflow of a physician office
  • • 2+ years of experience with EMR and EPM solutions – preferably athena, Cerner Oncology and/or OTTR.
  • • Bachelor’s degree
  • • 2 + years of management experience
  • • Experience working with physicians
  • • Project management experience
  • • Ability to prioritize and work within a busy environment
    • B.S or higher in computer science or clinical field is preferred
    • Working knowledge of athenahealth systems
    • Working knowledge of Cerner, OTTR,  or NextGen Ambulatory systems
  • Associate degree or higher in Informatics, Technology, clinical, or other related field
  • 2-5 years experience in ambulatory systems support in place of degree.
  • 2-5 years experience in an ambulatory setting or supporting an ambulatory practices
  • None
  • MA, CMA, LPN, RN preferred but not required
  • NextGen Certified Professional
  • Cerner Fundamentals
  • None
