We are currently seeking qualified candidates for an Operations Reimbursement Specialist position that will be based in our Managed Care department.  This position is based in Maitland, FL.
This position has the opportunity to be responsible for analyzing payer account reconciliation discrepancies for various regional AHS facilities for the identification of underpayments and denials. 
Specific job duties include:
  • Performs audit functions as necessary for the performance of Operations account review and Patient Financial Services (PFS) collection/reconciliation. 
  • Maintains strong working relationships with PFS and other departments and provides direction to AHS facilities to promote consistent operations. 
  • Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.
  • Responsible and engaged in recognizing payer trends to maximize expected reimbursement for the managed care contracts. 
  • Analyzes billing and coding discrepancies. 
Experience Requirements
  • Minimum of two years’ experience in the healthcare industry or insurance, required.
  • Specific training or experience in managed care, patient financial services, or provider relations, preferred.  
Educational Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent, required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field, i.e. business, healthcare, marketing, preferred.
Software/Technical Skills:
  • Typing:  35wpm
  • Word processing and spreadsheet experience
  • Ability to think analytically
  • Able to conduct research
  • Detail oriented
Preferred Knowledge and Skills:
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook)
