GENERAL SUMMARY: The Physician Advocate orients new providers to the systems used by Florida Hospital and assists in the training of providers. Provides 24hr on-call support to Physician/AHPs/Residents/Medical Students using FH clinical applications, and escalates encountered situations to the appropriate area with detailed and accurate information in order to get prompt resolution. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Demonstrates, through behavior, Florida Hospital's core values of Integrity, Compassion, Balance, Excellence, Stewardship, and Teamwork Documents work in Service Desk Manager in line with SOP~s and Work Instructions. Orients new and incoming providers to iExtend and other applications with the Florida Hospital System (FHS). Assists in creating health information technology training materials. Trains providers on health information technology. Conducts classroom training. Proctors training lab practice sessions. Provides personal instruction on changes or enhancements made in the EMR. Re-educates providers as needed. Provides remote 24/7 on call support to providers per defined call rotations. Maintains a detailed call log of activities, escalations, and transfers. Escalates issues using the research gathered per team protocols Provides onsite support to providers including daily rounding and troubleshooting health information technology. Provides at the elbow assistance on a variety of applications used by providers. Provides new initiative go-live support. Provides post go-live optimization support. Provides non-clinical guidance, as required. Reports application issues to the Support Center and management Maintains and validates provider demographic.

Job Requirements

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED: Conceptual and practical understanding of various training techniques for users with various learning styles

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS PREFERRED: Knowledge of eLearning modalities

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Three years of clinical experience and recent experience with health information technology

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED: Experience supporting applications used by providers Experience developing training materials for users with various skill levels Experience in troubleshooting software issues to resolution

LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED:

Current, valid license as a Registered Nurse, Advanced Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, or Medical Doctor, OR Respiratory Therapy Technologist certification

LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, OR REGISTRATION PREFERRED: Current, valid state of Florida license as a Registered Nurse
