The primary role of the Population Health Technology Consultant- Intermediate is to ensure that the population health system and initiatives continue to meet the needs of AHS Population Health Strategies. This position is a key liaison between the technical IT staff that implements technical solutions and AHS Population Health clients. Population Health Technology Consultant- Intermediate must be able to straddle the IT and business domains and communicate (or broker communications) between each side.

In partnership with other Adventist IT services, this role engages with stakeholders and other IT teams in the planning, design, and execution of new projects as well as leads the research and selection of new IT solutions that advance the business in accordance with IT governance models and AHS policies. This position deals with the more tactical, day-to-day aspects of discovering, validating, documenting and communicating business-process-related knowledge through modeling, simulating, and analyzing current and future states. The Population Health Technology Consultant- Intermediate ensures that changes to the Population Health Technology Solutions are carried out in a seamless fashion

Job Requirements

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED: Knowledgeable in designing and constructing comprehensive models of business processes, subprocesses and their l inks to automated tasks in IT Ability to be empathetic to the needs and desires of both business and IT Ability to effectively communicate both the logic and values that lead to change Knowledge of relevant business process standards (for example, Business Process Modeling Notation) and other BPM and business process analysis tools and methodologies

Ability to adapt to rapidly changing technology and apply it to business needs Strong analytical and conceptual skills, and the ability to create original concepts on projects Ability to analyze project needs and determine the resources needed to meet objectives, and to solve problems th at involve remote and elusive symptoms, often spanning multiple environments in a business area Ability to lead ownership transfer from project teams to the business Ability to work well with others Strong communications skills Strong meeting facilitation skills Strong project and time management skills Respected leader and team player More interested in results than personal preferences Motivated by a long-term perspective Intellectually inquisitive


Associate's degree or related business discipline

Three years of process improvement or project implementation experience, especially experience that leverages technology as part of the solution Project management experience Business domain experience in the process areas being supported
