We are currently seeking qualified candidates for a Supply Chain Procurement Manager position that will be based in our Supply Chain Shared Services department.  This position is in Altamonte Springs, FL.

The Supply Chain Procurement Manager supervises Supply Chain Procurement Agents I and Supply Chain Procurement Agents II to promote timely and accurate purchasing of goods and services. Manages the routing of purchase requisitions to the appropriate Supply Chain Procurement Agent I or Supply Chain Procurement Agent II for order placement as well as expediting of orders, returns, and other customer requests. Prepares service level metrics and interpretations. Supports Procurement leadership in efforts to increase operational and transactional efficiencies. Identifies training opportunities and coordinates efforts with the training department for both Supply Chain Shared Services and Supply Chain field-related needs. Acts as a PeopleSoft procurement process subject matter expert for others in the organization. This position is both accountable to Supply Chain Shared Services as well as field operations.

Specific job duties include:

  • Owns overall accountability for delivering services, meeting service level agreements, and driving continuous improvement activities; Responsible for ensuring continuity and successful delivery of functional services to the field as well as vendors
  • Supports the integration of AHS procurement processes into the centralized Supply Chain Shared Services organization
  • Manages the day-to-day procurement operations for Supply Chain Shared Services to ensure optimal processing and efficient placement of purchase orders, confirmations, returns, resolution of invoice discrepancies (e.g., variance processing, correct pricing), and expediting of orders when necessary
  • Ensures purchase requests conform to AHS policies, procedures, standards, and approval authority levels
  • Maintains system of all purchase transactions, ordering information, and usage information for areas of support
  • Monitors and completes open purchase order reports to resolution and ensures vendor confirmations are being handled appropriately
  • Identifies and analyzes issues impacting the procurement process and team and effectively manages those issues
  • Provides direction and guidance to Supply Chain Procurement Agents I and Supply Chain Procurement Agents II on procurement options, policies, and the resolution of complaints related to supplies, services, and equipment
  • Serves as a subject matter expert for Supply Chain Procurement Agents I, Supply Chain Procurement Agents II, and Requestors and for field matters related to procurement
  • Identifies repetitive problems and works with Supply Chain Procurement leadership on corresponding process improvements
  • Maintains a working knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations
  • Evaluates potential candidates for open positions and makes hiring recommendations
  • Assists with the establishment of peformance standards; Monitors and tracks staff performance against quality assurance measures; Creates performance plans and drives performance initiatives
  • Handles projects as requested as well as other duties

Job Requirements

Experience Requirements:   
  • Minimum of five years of managerial experience required
  • Minimum of ten years of experience in purchasing or a related field required
  • Experience in construction at a healthcare facility preferred
  • Strong background in construction projects, equipment and capital preferred
Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent degree from a four-year accredited university or college required or seven years of related field experience required
Software Requirements:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) required
  • Proficiency in PeopleSoft ePro and Purchasing strongly preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint preferred
  • Ability to type fifty or more words per minute with excellent spelling, punctuation, grammar, and oral and written communications
Certifications/Licenses:
  • Certified Materials and Resource Professional (CMRP) or a certification from The Association for Operations Management (APICS) preferred
