We are currently seeking qualified candidates for a Manager Provider Relations position that will be based in our PHSO Central Network department.  This position is based at our in Altamonte Springs, FL.

Responsible for managing the PHSO provider relations functions, the development and execution of the network adequacy strategy, and the negotiation and contracting of all FHHS/FHPN provider or ancillary contracts for the central region. The manager interfaces with all levels of management and the provider networks. 

Specific job duties include:


Provider Relations Leadership

•         Responsible to lead, manage, drive, and mentor the provider relations team to achieve and exceed all goals and accountabilities.

•         Responsible for the recruitment, development, motivation, and retention of employees to achieve policies and objectives as well as maintain their current and increasing level of population health and managed care knowledge. 

•         Oversees the provider relations team provider outreach strategies and focus to ensure outreach supports driving provider engagement in the network.

•         Responsible for planning and development of the staff Education Plan. Oversees the orientation of new staff.

Manages FHHS and FHPN Provider Communications

•         Oversees the creation of, updates to, and distribution of the provider information packets and the FHHS Provider Information Guide.

•         Oversees the distribution and summary of provider office satisfaction surveys.

•         Responsible for the distribution of all FHPN communications including mailings, emails, fax blasts or direct office delivery.


Provider and Ancillary Contracting

•         Involved in the development of and responsible for the implementation of the network development and contracting strategy for the FHHS/PHSO.

•         Must continually develop an in depth knowledge of contracting and negotiation principles in order to secure results that achieve the objectives of the network strategy.

•         Ensures the proper negotiation of all provider and ancillary based FHHS contracts.

•         Oversees the execution of all CIN participation agreements and ensures they are in line with CIN Board expectations.

•         Responsible to fully understand the network landscape in order to ensure network adequacy and anticipate future needs.

•         Responsible for working with internal and external partners to determine optimal provider engagement strategies.

•         Continuously safeguards the liability exposure through the monitoring of compliance with the relevant policies and procedures, and state and federal requirements as they pertain to network providers.   

Job Requirements

Education Requirements:


•         Bachelor’s degree in health services administration, business or related field


Experience Requirements:


•         Five years previous provider relations experience in a provider network (payer) entity
