Under general direction, responsible for activities related to system administration in an enterprise environment.  Will provide Server and Data Center infrastructure support as a member of a team for 4 hospitals in the SouthEast Region and Georgia.  Responsibilities include but are not limited to: installing & supporting server operating systems (e.g. Windows Server 2012R2, 2016), performing system backups and recovery, conducting server builds & supporting server hardware, performance optimizing and security of systems, maintaining data center security and operations, support of virtual infrastructure (e.g. VMware environment).
Job Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
  • Oncall for system incidents
  • Server Hardware and Datacenter support for 4 Hospitals in the SouthEast Region and Georgia
  • OS Installation, configuration, patches, and upgrades
  • Virtual Environment Administration to include server setup, optimization, and hardware    installation and troubleshooting.
  • Server Installation & Build
  • System backups, restore, disaster recovery
  • Configuring, optimizing, monitoring operating system software and servers
  • Analyzing, troubleshooting, and resolving system hardware, software, and networking issues
  • Implement Server and Data Center Infrastructure standards

Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma is required.  College degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent education is highly recommended.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years experience in Information Technology is essential.
  • Proven experience in the administration of VMWare Virtual server environments required.
  • Industry recognized certification in I.T. Systems Administration area is necessary.  Extensive and proven experience may be substituted for certification where appropriate.
  • Understanding of networking concepts is necessary, including LAN/WAN technologies, network equipment, protocols, & other communication systems.
  • Experience in heterogeneous systems is preferred
  • Well-founded knowledge of systems administration concepts is required, including security, management, deployment, and maintenance of diverse operating system platforms.
  • Strong interpersonal skills & positive attitude towards work, peers, and management are required.
  • Must live in the Park Ridge area and be willing to commute between the regional sites as needed.
