GENERAL SUMMARY:

 

We are currently hiring a B.I. Solutions Developer – Intermediate level with experience in QlikView, Alteryx and OBIEE. The B.I. Solutions Developer, under the direction of the Business Analytics and Data Mining Director, will be mainly responsible for the management of dashboard development, support other developers, ensuring documentation is complete and deadlines are met.

The ideal candidate designs, develops, and maintains Qlikview applications. The person will be working with B.I. Solutions Analysts/Lead to design and build the ETL process. In addition, working with the Corporate Analytics team to create the appropriate data models for dashboard visualizations is a must. He/she should also continually maintain working knowledge of the toolsets used by the Corporate Analytics Team.

 

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:


•               Create QlikView applications from enterprise data warehouse


•               Create QlikView data models and interactive visualizations


•               Create static reports using QlikView NPrinting tool


•               Take ownership of projects assigned and support other developers with tasks to complete


•               Assist team members with project sponsors and ensuring timely deliverables


•               Build the ETL automation process for QlikView applications with the help of the B.I. Solutions Administrator


•               Design and configure the QlikView applications front-end calculations (i.e. set analysis, aggregations, etc.) as per business requirements


•               Responsible for interpreting business needs of stakeholders and develop analytical solutions


•               Coordinate with other developers on the team to build and share knowledge, ensuring consistent delivery of information


•               Collaborate with application analysts and report/dashboard end users to analyze, provides specifications, and document projects in SharePoint


•               Document and tests work products and conducts data quality checks on a regular basis


•               Work in partnership with the Data Warehouse team and other stakeholders concerning the accuracy of data and efficiency of processes


•               Be familiar with diverse data collection, ETL, and database technologies


•               Adhere to corporate standards and best practices

Job Requirements

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

 


•         Strong analytical and problem solving skills


•         QlikView Design and Developer, Alteryx experience


•         Experience working with any BI tool (QlikView, Tableau, Dundas, OBIEE, etc.)


•         Intermediate working knowledge of SQL and ETL automations


•         MS Excel and/or Access (i.e. VBA) expertise


•         Troubleshoot scripting logic when issues arise


•         Working with clinical healthcare data


•         Working knowledge of clinical processes and terminology


•         Experience with Clinical Analytics, Medical Informatics and/or Quality Measures


•         Self-motivated, independent and goal-oriented, a fast learner with good communication skills.


•         Independent in debugging issues regarding front end and data modeling.


•         Independent in maintaining and working on new phases for your applications

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS PREFERRED:


•         Able to script in SQL/PL SQL SELECT


•         CMS Programs and Initiatives


•         Cerner experience

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

 


•         Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or similar fields (i.e. Health Information Informatics Management)


•         Minimum of 5+ years of experience in Healthcare IT

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:

 

Master’s Degree in Information Systems, Healthcare Informatics or any other similar fields
