We are currently seeking qualified candidates for a Recall Coordinator position in our Supply Chain department.  This position is based at our corporate office in Altamonte Springs, FL.


This position has the opportunity to be responsible for supporting the monitoring and management of product recalls, while ensuring the safety of patients and employees. Upon awareness or vendor notification, the coordinator handles communications, coordination, procedures, and verification of facility compliance.




Specific job duties include:
  • Receives inbound alerts from the recall management solution and other sources (vendors and manufacturers via fax, certified letter, standard mail, email, or other methods) and responds with the appropriate level of urgency
  • Liaises with vendors and manufacturers throughout the recall process
  • Evaluates recalls and determines action plans with time frames based on the classification of the recall
  • Coordinates and documents corrective actions taken by facilities to address recalls
  • Collaborates with procurement, equipment, and inventory teams to identify which facilities/departments need to be notified of the product recall
  • Validates purchase history match data provided by recall management solution, reviewing additional purchase history if necessary
  • Notifies appropriate individuals/facilities in a timely manner about recall notices
  • Coordinates and monitors projects and assignments with a sense of urgency
  • Creates and communicates reports detailing facility compliance
  • Supervises the collection and/or disposition of all equipment and supplies affected by the recall and ensures strict adherence to recall guidelines provided by manufacturer, vendor, and/or regulatory guidelines
  • Initiates steps to obtain the appropriate credit or replacements from vendors


Experience Requirements:
  • Minimum of two years of experience with recalls or a related field
  • Experience in healthcare industry preferred


Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and/or work experience


Software:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office required (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Proficiency in PeopleSoft preferred
  • Proficiency in recall systems (ECRI, RASMAS, etc.) strongly preferred
