We are currently seeking qualified candidates for a System Director of Patient Care Operations position that will be based in our Office of Clinical Effectiveness department. This position is based at our corporate office in Altamonte Springs, FL.  
This position provides the opportunity to be responsible for coordinating strategic patient care initiatives which will support improvement in team member experience, retention, professional practice, nurse leadership and organizational performance. This role is instrumental in strengthening a stable workforce and works closely with nurse leadership and system CNO to facilitate the development and standardization of nursing education which will be integrated into the learning management system. Has a strong foundation and understand of nursing services and provides outstanding customer service to AHS hospitals.
Specific job duties include:
Partner’s with regional education leaders to provide speakers from within and outside of AHS to teach Clinical Leader classes at a regional or Corporate level
Works with System CNO to support organizational efforts to build a multi-level nurse leadership pipeline
Supports leadership development by recruiting, evaluating and selecting heritage interns/residents into (leadership) nurse residency and internship programs
Facilitate development a system new graduate Onboarding/Residency program
Facilitate development of a system nurse preceptor program
Work with HR and organizational leaders in execution of mission focused nursing engagement and retention strategies
In coordination with hospital nurse leader workgroup and learning management team, develops strategy to determine the nursing education priorities for standardization across the system
Partners with key stakeholders to identify performance needs, desired performance outcomes, and evaluate best practice education for deployment
Develops and maintains a strategic education plan that will best drive improvement throughout the system considering different needs depending upon campus
Experience Requirements:
Minimum of ten (10) years of healthcare related experience
Five (5) years of experience in a healthcare leadership position with demonstrated skills in team building, goal achievement, successful project management, education and consulting.
Leadership experience in strategic/cultural planning and execution with the ability to listen, assess, coach, mentor, motivate, and problem solve.
Educational Requirements:
Master’s degree in Nursing, Business Administration, or related field
RN licensure
