The MTO IT Applications Manager, ATL GA is responsible for the operations, applications, and regulatory compliance related to IT Systems implemented at the Manufacturing facility. The IT Applications Manager must comply with Global and Local IT directives, and directly support the business priorities of MTO, Quality, and Engineering.
Major Accountabilities include:
• Develop a lifecycle roadmap for capital spend, hardware replacement, disaster recovery, system lifecycle, and software compliance for all computer based systems that directly support the facility.
• Develop and manage the site MTO IT Applications budget and system implementation tasks in support of Global and Local IT priorities, including: project management, business analysis, development, interfaces, configuration, deployment, and systems administration.
• Responsible for leading a department that supports Manufacturing, QA, and Engineering processes/systems and includes: SAP, Camstar and Werum shop floor systems, SCADA, Document Management, Training Systems, Equipment Maintenance, Physical Security Systems, and Reporting Systems.
• Team Management responsibilities include hiring/termination and performance management of professional employees and contractors.
• Work directly with software/service vendors on contracts and build and maintain effective working relationships. Coordinate all interfaces to third party systems and manage and coordinate software/services upgrades.
• Stay abreast of the Manufacturing, QA, and Engineering Technology industry, internal and external best practices, direction of software vendors and partners, and ensure effective planning processes are in place to address the changes.
• Responsible for managing list of business priorities, projects, and support activities to ensure that key business priorities are met.
• Partner with the MTO Management team to understand strategic direction and understand where IT can add value to the business.
• When needed, work with consulting firms to address projects or supplemental staff to accomplish objectives. Manage individual consultants as needed.
• Responsible for understanding regulatory requirements related to the quality systems delivered. Ensure SOX and Novartis and Alcon compliance requirements are met.
