Job Description

SUMMARY: Will perform operations in the manual grind classification as assigned

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Operate machining centers as assigned
  2. Operates ID, OD, Centerless and Surface Grinders
  3. Load and adjust workpieces onto equipment or work tables
  4. Perform in-process inspections using a variety of measuring equipment and obtain first piece
  5. Produce parts by interpreting and understanding blue print requirements
  6. Interacts will other departments as needed
  7. Record labor and other production information on Hour by Hour sheets
  8. Follows all safety and work rules.
  9. Performs other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None

Job Requirements

REQUIREMENTS:

  1. A High School diploma is required
  2. 3 to 4 years of experience in a manufacturing precision machining environment
  3. Past experience with grinding is required
  4. Proficient knowledge blue print reading skills
  5. Ability to understand and follow work instructions
