Job Description

Responsible for performing any and all warehouse related work activities as assigned: receiving, stores, picking, packaging and shipping.

Material Handler
1. Assures that assigned work areas are stocked with required materials.
2. Removes empty parts storage baskets and makes them ready for shipment.
3. Removes scrap from work areas to the scrap collection area.
4. Returns over-issued parts to component stores.
5. Picks parts when required.
6. Removes empty grease barrels, replacing them when necessary. Assures the grease pump is cleaned and the surrounding area is kept clean.
7. Returns excess parts from Assembly to Stores and moves scrap from assembly benches to collection area.
8. Repositions or removes pallets, goods and materials to assure orderly work areas.
9. Operated gas and electric powered fork trucks and hand trucks.
10. Responsible for completing truck maintenance forms on a daily basis.
11. Unload bar stock from steel truck, moving stock to steel racks.
12. Ban raw stock for storage.
13. Applies the principles of ABS in accordance with Policy Deployment.

Receiver
1. Receives items and checks packing slips. Ensures all purchased material received into the plant belongs to the Company.
2. Deliver goods to user or place in stock.
3. Assures all packing slips and purchase orders are processed on a timely basis.
4. Maintains daily recordkeeping of materials received.
5. Consolidates like material in baskets.
6. Assists in cycle counting by assigned part number.
7. Verifies materials received assuring quantity and part numbers for identification.
8. Enters data into computer system.
9. Pulls production orders issued by Production Control. Verifies part number, quantity and proper location.

Order Picker
1. Pulls daily production orders as they are issued by Production Control.
2. Verifies part number, quantity and proper location. Assures accuracy in pulling orders.
3. Puts up stock as if arrives assuring accuracy in selection of stock location according to part number.

Job Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. 1. Must be certified as a qualified operator of all mobile equipment before operating.
2. Ability to read and understand basic order and shipping data.
3. Proven ability to work and interact well with others.
4. Knowledge of product, locations and layout.
5. Be able to lift minimum 50 lbs. However, physical requirements include lifting up to 75 pounds on a regular basis, bending, squatting, walking, and able to operate powered industrial equipment. May also include climbing a ladder at intermittent times.
6. Be able to stand on feet for long period of time (up to 8-10 hours at times).


EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE A minimum of a high school diploma or GED is required.
