Job Description

TB Wood's, Inc., an Altra Industrial Motion Company, is hiring for a CNC Programming Engineer for the Chambersburg, PA location.  This position is full-time.

Job Summary: Plan the programs that automate machine tools by means of computer generated electronic data.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
•Read three-dimensional computer-aided/automated design (CAD) blueprints, determine where to cut, and other calculations.
•Translate instructions into a computer aided/automated manufacturing program (CAM).
•Write programs or modify existing programs and store them on the machine's controller using tapes or disks.
•Analyze job orders, drawings, blueprints and other data.
 

Job Requirements

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Technical understanding of TBW products and the power transmission industry.
  • Extensive experience with MasterCAM and CAD software.
  • Reading comprehension and knowledge of mathematics.
  • Demonstrates ability to write computer programs.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in use of measurement tools (calipers and micrometers).

Education and Experience:

  •  High School diploma or GED 
  • Technical Certificate or equivalent preferred
  • 3-5 years related experience required
