Available Hours 

We are currently looking for those able to work the following general part-time shifts:

7am-3pm
3pm-11pm
11pm-7am

 All applicants must be available to work every other weekend.

Also available Signature Service hours: Escorts to doctor's appointments (we provide transportation) on various days throughout the week. 

The primary responsibilities of working as a care giver at Chestnut Park are assisting residents with their Activities of Daily Living, escorting residents to and from meals and activities, reminding residents to take their medication and participating in activities or one on one time with residents. 

Interview Process

Job Requirements


EDUCATION

•Must have current Massachusetts CNA license, HHA certification or currently enrolled in nursing school
•High School education preferred
•Must have good written and oral skills in English


SKILLS AND ABILITIES 
 
•Demonstrates working knowledge of state regulations as they pertain to the job
•Has sound working knowledge of policies in the Resident Handbook.
•Possesses current CPR certification or willing to take CPR class
•Displays courteousness and friendliness at all times to residents remembering their rights to dignity and confidentiality
•Possess excellent communication skills.
•Familiar with infection control
•Demonstrates proficiency at reading and understanding a Resident Care Service Plan
•Understands advanced directives and end-of-life care
•Possesses knowledge about the assisted living philosophy
•Understands the nursing function in assisted living
•Understands quality of care objectives
•Understands quality of life objectives
•Demonstrates understanding of the use of Resident Care Standards and Practices with the Resident Care Director
•Reviews and understands the orientation checklist
•Demonstrates knowledge of the following Benchmark Standards and Practices:
•OSHA guidelines, e.g., chemicals, personal care products, and items locked
•Use of walkie talkies, beeper, and keys
•Nametag and uniform
•Proper punching of timecards / etime
•Alarm system
•Fire safety and elopement
•Consistent attendance and participation in staff meetings and mandatory in-services
•All equipment in resident's room


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

•Move at least 50 lbs. without assistance.
•Lift and assist residents as needed in emergencies.
•Bend, reach and work in small areas.
•Push and pull, equipment and furnishings.
