Biometrics Technical Analyst, Junior

Key Role:

Provide for the standardization of biometric data formats, technical interfaces, conformance methodologies, performance evaluations, and other related areas to permit interoperability, both internal and external to the Department of Homeland Security. Maintain responsibility for the participation on national and international standards bodies to influence and accelerate standards development. Collaborate with the interagency community and other mission partners to facilitate consistent implementation and use of biometric standards. Ensure consistency with approved national or international standards applicable to the enterprise. Communicate biometric technology standardization activities to the National Institute of Standards and Technology for integration into overall USG IT standards processes. This position is located in Washington, DC.

Basic Qualifications:

-1+ years of experience with standards development and adoption

-Experience with producing technical documentation, particularly documentation suitable for standardization

-Ability to create and present briefings to senior leadership

-Ability to work with aggressive timeline for deliverables

-DHS Suitability

-BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-1+ years of experience with enterprise architecture and data standards

-Experience with DHS

-BS degree in an Engineering related field

-IEEE Certified Biometrics Professional

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; DHS Suitability clearance is required.
