Canadian Natural’s existing Thermal operations include Primrose, Wolf Lake and North Tangleflags. The North Tangleflags (NTF) operation is located on the banks of the North Saskatchewan River about 5 miles west of Paradise Hill or about 55 km NE of Lloydminster. The facilities include a heavy oil cleaning plant, 2 steam plants and a water intake plant. The battery has 2 treating trains for the 28 wells associated with the thermal operations plus other Canadian Natural oil from cold flow wells. The 2 steam plants have a total of 7-50mm BTU generators, so there is sufficient HP to get time for a 1st class ticket at this location. Our steam chief is a 1st class ticket holder.
Current production comes from 28 wells using the recovery processes CSS, SAGD, heel-toe injection and primary technology. NTF and other thermal plants have many common processes (water treating, fresh water supply) where information sharing between operations is required.
This position will be based at our North Tangleflags plant near Lloydminster, AB and requires relocation into the Lloydminster area.
