Meet our team
Wonder what it’s like to work at Doddle? A lot of purple parcels and friendly customers, right? We spoke to two of our Doddlers to find out about their time at Doddle so far.
Keeley Khan, Assistant Store Manager at our Kings Cross Store
What’s the culture like at Doddle?
The atmosphere when I go to work is nothing like I’ve experienced in previous employment. I don’t get that dreaded “Monday" feeling and I’m never counting down the hours until the end of my shift. At Doddle, everyone gets to be themselves and that’s what I enjoy most when working with my team. Each person adds something to the environment to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere that makes our customers choose us.
Do you have any tips for people who might be considering applying for a job at Doddle?
Definitely be yourself because that’s what Doddle are looking for, not robots.
What’s been your Doddle highlight so far?
The progression and achievements I have gained in my short time working for the company. I have just graduated from the Doddle ‘Be the Best You Can Be’ programme which is a manager development programme. We took lots of valuable skills away from this including leading and motivating our teams, and I’m looking forward to putting this into practice in my own store.
Damilola Aruleba, Full Time Store Colleague at our Canary Wharf store
Why did you choose Doddle?
I chose Doddle because I was really intrigued with the service that they were providing. This really hit home for me because my family and I are never around to receive our online shopping, it was always going to our neighbours and when they weren’t in it was a problem to get our parcels. Discovering Doddle, a service where customers can happily send their online shopping and collect it at their
convenience really spurred me on to apply for a position in the company.
Describe your Doddle journey so far?
I had the pleasure of working in a few Doddle stores before finally settling in Canary Wharf. I started off as a flexi-team (peripatetic) full time store colleague working in Liverpool Street, Canary Wharf briefly then settling down in Throgmorton street where I was able to advance to a Key Holder. I’m now back at Canary Wharf performing key-holder duties.
What’s a typical day at Doddle like for you?
A typical day in Doddle is very manic so you never get bored. With the volume of customers we get we are always on our toes but the relationship I have with the team makes the day fun and go as smoothly as possible.
