Job Description


Receives, stores, and distributes products. Pulls orders, unloads trucks and stocks supplies performing the
following duties. Drives loaded truck to secure location and picks up empty truck for return to distribution
center. Once arriving at distribution center unloads returns and credits.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Reads production schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
  • Drives and Operates fork lift equipment.
  • Conveys materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas.
  • Ability and willingness to select, stock, load and/or unload ALL products that may be ordered by our customers.
  • Fills requisitions by retrieving required products per the customer order.
  • Sorts and places materials or items on conveyor, racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
  • Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves, or conveys orders to packing station or shipping department.
  • Accurately marks materials with identifying information.
  • Prepares loads leaving during production as well as those leaving the next morning.
  • Returns products to appropriate areas.
  • Opens boxes and other containers.
  • Repacks breakage
  • Maintains safe, organized and clean work area. Cleaning includes, but is not limited to, the removal of all remaining trash, broken glass, cardboard etc. at the end of the shift.
  • Check with a member of management team before leaving at end of shift.
  • All breakage is put on a designated pallet to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Drives loaded truck to outer lying areas at night, for the driver in that area to pick up and deliver from in the morning.
  • Places returns in appropriate place once returning to distribution center.
  • Collects or picks up empty containers or rejected or unsold merchandise.
  • Returns empty containers to warehouse for distribution back to supplier.
  • Loads truck when necessary.
  • Cleans inside of truck.
  • Performs routine maintenance on truck.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.
Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Use of voice pick equipment is desired.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Forklift Certification. Applicable state driver's license. Empire Driver Training Program. Valid Dot physical. Ability to obtain and maintain valid State ABC Permit.
