Job Description

Director - Program Management:

The Director – Program Management is accountable for the overall success of meeting timelines and managing budgets for multiple medical devices throughout their full product lifecycle, from the early development process through process scale-up and full commercial production.

.

This is a newly created role due to my client’s growth and would report directly into the CEO.   This will be a very hands on role for now (no direct reports), as the Director will be responsible for multiple programs working within a matrix team environment.

The Director will be a principal point of contact with all internal departments, responsible for building relationships with key stakeholders that result in a valued and trusted relationship.

Responsibilities:

Provide regular program status update reports to internal key stakeholders and executive management that highlights status against key milestones, issues, and risks impacting performance, schedule and cost.

Be a principal point of contact with senior management, responsible for presenting regular concise program status updates, and ensuring timely resolution to critical program issues.

Responsible for coordinating with Quality, Product Development, Manufacturing Operations, and Supply Chain for identifying resource needs and allocation, and resolving any identified conflicts that may impact program success.

May have other duties and responsibilities as required.


Job Requirements

Essential Requirements

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree preferred, preferably in a technical discipline.

5+ years Project or Program Management required.

PMP certification a plus

5+ years of experience within a medical device company (Class II or III preferred).

Demonstrated ability to manage multi-million dollar programs required.

Strong interpersonal skills; must be capable of effectively establishing professional rapport with internal personnel and any external vendors/consultants.

Should be strong in Microsoft products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.
