Job Description

Seeking a highly motivated individual with great communication and business skills to help the largest supplier of titanium dioxide in the world continue to develop superior customer relationships and deliver strong business results. 

The Customer Service Specialist role is a critical liaison between the customer and the Titanium Technologies business, and relies on great teamwork internally with sales, supply chain, demand management, warehousing and logistics to uphold and deliver upon the expectations of our customers.  This role is expected to contribute well beyond the placement and follow-through on all orders.  Expectations include providing valuable insights and information based on customer conversations, participating on account teams, managing inventory, analyzing related data and processes to help inform business decisions and focusing on continuous improvement.  This position will report to the Customer Service Manager.

The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Effectively serve as a critical interface with customers, and develop solid business relationships with all customer contacts.
  • Navigation through various systems and business processes to manage the receipt, placement and satisfactory completion of all customer orders through delivery.
  • Work closely with all business functions to meet the needs of our customers.
  • Ownership of processes related to invoicing, pricing, rebates, discrepancies, disputes, credit/debit memos.
  • Strong focus on the customer, ensuring that all customer complaints and concerns are addressed quickly.
  • Establish a true partnership vs. managing transactional activities alone.  Understand the customer to anticipate their needs and proactively solve problems.
  • Thoroughly and efficiently gather customer information, assess and fulfill customer needs, educate the customer where applicable and document interactions through contact tracking.
  • Continuously evaluate and identify opportunities to drive process improvements that positively impact the customer’s experience.
  • Responsible for compiling and generating reports as they relate to customer service.
  • Understand and actively support Sarbanes-Oxley compliance and internal company controls.
