                                        OFFICE ASSISTANT / HUMAN RESOURCES ASSISTANT
                                                                        Temp to Hire Position
                               $20.00 to $22.00/hour depending on qualifications and experience

 

Description:

The Office & HR assistant is a strong player in both basic office and HR functions and the customer service department. The Office & HR assistant is responsible for assisting with customer service needs, as well as keeping our office compliant with Department of Transportation regulations. The Office & HR assistant is expected to maintain the exceptional quality of service that we provide to our customers on a daily basis. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and update system used to keep track of employee information and time off.
  • Create, design and distribute safety handouts for our employee safety program
  • Effectively and efficiently use company's software system to input customer information, update records, gather information, produce reports for management, and other tasks as assigned
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by resolving issues related to service, pricing, or other matters
  • Communicate and coordinate with other departments as needed

 

Office & HR Assistant Duties

  • Keep driver files compliant with Department of Transportation regulations by updating paper and electronic files
  • Keep running dialogue with drivers about expiring documents (e.g. drivers license, medical certificate)
  • Run reports on a weekly basis to keep track of driver hours
  • Process incoming mail & payments from customers, and apply payments to customer accounts
  • Assist will all stages of the recruitment process, including writing job descriptions, posting job openings, screening potential candidates, and the on boarding process.
  • Assist and resolve basic technology problems for all employees
  • Provide support to employees during use of various online platforms
  • Handle inbound calls from customers
  • Prepare, update, and dispense daily route sheets
  • Initiate outbound calls to customers to resolve service issues
  • Handle high-pressure environment on a daily basis, and maintain capability to handle pushback from customers
  • Report driver performance issues and concerns to appropriate management
  • Record and document information from drivers, and distribute to management if necessary
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Follow all safety standards as maintained by company
