Job Summary

The Digital Project Manager (DPM) is the sole owner of online advertising campaigns through all stages of the campaign life-cycle including conception, production, and implementation.  In this fast-paced, high-stress environment, the DPM acts as a liaison between external clients and all internal departments to ensure flawless, on-time delivery of campaigns.  They work closely with aligned Account Executives/Sales Directors (Sales) to set internal and external expectations, and help facilitate growth within existing business. They are the nexus of all communication among external clients, Sales, PointRoll’s Operations and Technology groups, publishers and other vendors. In this position, DPMs will interface with clients at creative advertising agencies and media buying groups to assist them in executing their digital display advertising campaigns.  These clients represent advertisers from all segments of the economy and are among the most visible and famous brands in the world

Job Requirements

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

 
  • Maintain exceptional client relationships with PointRoll’s agency, publisher, and advertiser clientele.
  • Manage client relationships and work to contribute strategic value beyond the day-to-day campaign tactics.
  • Lead and organize account onboarding by understanding the brands’ marketing strategy and agency needs.
  • Develop relationships with clients through participation in client meetings, summits, and industry events.
  • Work with Sales to offer relevant insights as it pertains pre/mid/post campaign analysis.
  • Possesses the ability to complete Client Services roles and responsibilities related to Production task submission and completion.
  • Understands the roles and responsibilities of each group within Operations.
  • Promptly responds to client questions and issues regarding all aspects of a campaign throughout all stages in the campaign life-cycle.
  • Works with clients to assist them in understanding publisher advertising specifications and ensures that deliverables to sites are within those specifications.
  • Educates Sales on appropriate campaign timelines and readjusts client expectations where necessary.
  • Understands internal timelines and provides appropriate time for other groups within Operations and Technology to complete tasks that meet client expectations and campaign launch dates.
  • Understands operational processes and manages client expectations appropriately with respect to various turn-around times for all aspects of production, creative, QA and trafficking processes.
  • Creates end-to-end campaign timelines and milestone dates and communicates expectations and any changes in status from the original expectations to all interested parties.
  • Coordinates and leads scheduled campaign kick-off calls with media & creative clients and validates proper internal and external representation.
  • Create and distribute client kick-off call recap meeting notes internally and externally.
  • Receives and organizes client-provided media plans and creative assets.
  • Prepares and submits creative build requests to Creative Services Department.
  • Reviews ad demo links for quality and distributes to external clients for approval.
  • Coordinates with Regional Traffic Manager and Team Leads from Production Design and Creative Services to direct and utilize resources from those two groups.
  • Acts as a point of escalation for Sales and Operations for campaign-related inquiries.
  • Delegates work to the Associate Project Management group as needed.
  • Scopes work, with the assistance of PE Managers and Art Directors, for creative and production tasks and sets expectations based on requested due date.
  • Coordinates resources for non-standard executions and manages the project with the help of the appropriate departments.
  • Coordinates and conducts training sessions for new hires across regions.
  • Identifies process breakdowns and works with other Ops teams to update and provide new SOPs and training.
  • Aids in troubleshooting and escalating any Live Ad Issues to the appropriate teams.
  • Fields general reporting issues for clients and Sales and facilitates client reporting requests with the Sales Solutions group.
  • Participates/leads any other assigned projects.
  • Trains new Associate Digital Project Managers and Digital Project Managers on processes and how to use proprietary tools.
  • Meets expectations for attendance and punctuality.
  • Performs other job-related duties as required.
     

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required

 
  • Outstanding planning and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects in an accelerated environment, while maintaining meticulous attention to detail.
  • Experience in client-facing positions (previous employment at Internet publishers, interactive creative agencies and Internet media buying agencies is a significant plus).
  • Ability to quickly and clearly communicate with internal and external clients and vendors.
  • Self starter who is resourceful and pays meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to bring differing groups together to solve problems.
  • Excellent communication, facilitating, and negotiating skills.

Computer & Software Experience

 
  • Candidate must be highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) & web browsers.
  • Knowledge of mobile and video technologies, social media and web debugging tools a plus.
     

Education & Business Experience

 
  • BA or BS degree (preferably in related field – i.e. Advertising, Marketing, etc.).
  • 1-3 years experience in account or project management with proven ability to effectively communicate with external clients (interactive/web project management experience is a significant plus).
