Herzing's Atlanta Campus is accepting applications for a full-time, “student-first” focused professional to work within the enrollment teams and support our students as an Admissions Advisor. As an Admissions Advisor, you and your team will work together to create the first impression for potential students. Guiding students through enrollment process and helping your team with functional and administrative tasks, this is an ideal first job in the Higher Education field.  This position will be expected to work two evenings a week, and periodic Saturday shifts. Summary of Primary Responsibilities A full job description will be provided during the interview process when you can discuss what this specific role will look like, but a few of this position's responsibilities may include the following:

  • Respond to inquiries for information about Herzing programs primarily through telephone communication; secondarily through email and postal delivery.
  • Follow the enrollment process through complete, accurate and timely completion of paperwork and applications.
  • Keep the prospective student on-task with constant interactions (via telephone, email, or face-to-face meetings) by maintaining control of the conversation to present material in a conscience, clear format.
  • Follow all local, state, federal and Herzing guidelines as they apply to student admissions.
  • Maintain a current and accurate knowledge of all program offerings, policies and procedures.
To be qualified for this position you must have the following:
  • A minimum of 1 year of related experience.
  • While not required, a Bachelor’s degree is strongly preferred.
WHO are we looking for… We are looking for the best-right fit for this job. Because this job is so critical to creating that first impression and lasting relationships with our students. We are looking for someone who can genuinely engage potential students with energy and compassion, and demonstrate Herzing’s P.R.I.C.E. of Success Model in all their interactions.
Having the right ATTITUDE

  • You understand that you are not a 'counselor,' you are an advisor.
  • You regularly demonstrate that you can put the students' needs first.
  • Your personal approach to growth and development can be held up as an example for students to emulate.
Having the right APTITUDE
  • You will be working on a team, but it is important that you are are intrinsically motivated.
  • To successfully advise students you will need to fully understand each student's educational needs and goals, and be comfortable holding them accountable when appropriate.
  • You naturally adapt your communication (both verbal and written) to meet the students where they are.
